With your support gold-youth is investing in community organisations such as gold Social Franchisees, working in extremely vulnerable communities, from across Kwa-Zulu Natal, Mpumalanga, Bloemfontein, Limpopo, Gauteng and Zimbabwe. The gold training team had the honour of training 37 passionate, resourceful and driven youth development practitioners at a 5 day gold Peer Education pre-implementation workshop.

The gold model is an evidence based, best practice youth development programme that has proven outcomes in personal development, leadership, education and health.

The great wealth of expertise and dynamic contexts in the room made for very rich discussions on community-development frameworks and gold’s approach when engaging communities as key stakeholders. Many of the participants shared that their perspectives about development work were challenged and they were personally inspired by the gold vision.
