On the 29th of April 28 Peer Educators from Kwa Pata High School in Pietermaritzberg (Kwa Zulu Natal) attended a Career Expo. They attended because Sizithobile Educare invited the organisation (ISAAC) that implements the GOLD programme at their school.
The Peer Educators as well as pupils from other high schools sat, and absorbed every piece of information that was shared at Imbali Unit J. Informative pamphlets about tertiary education and career were made available.
One of the Facilitator interns who trains and mentors the Peer Educators, saw this event as an opportunity to “plant positive behavior change in the minds of the students so that when they enter the classroom they can focus on their studies with a clear goal”.
