In the week of the 10th of Novemeber, Dean Egypt (Western Cape  Co-ordinator) went to Mpumlanga to give a Pre-Implementation Training. The training was attended by the different organisations that implement the GOLD programme. Dean notes that  the training was great and fruitful. Past Peer Educators make a difference

Two past Peer Educators from Zambia Vincent Mwelwa and Cypriano Chilekwa were chosen to be part of the Restless Development Zambia initiative as volunteers in the month of September. These young adults were part of the twenty-two volunteers selected out of two-hundred applications. Training filled with excitement-Ndola

Fifty-six Peer Educators gathered at the Ndola-Kawama site in Zambia  for a two day Mentor Peer Educators training and a three day Work-Readiness workshop. The training took place between the 1st and 2nd of September, and the workshop happened between the 3rd and  5th of September. Western Cape Facilitators Trained to Advocate

Kabwe YMCA’s Camp a Great Success!

From the 21st to 25th August 2013, at Kasavasa campsite in Kabwe, Zambia, a total of 150 Peer Educators and 7 peers got together to enjoy the wonderful opportunity to interact, share ideals, improve presentation skills and build self esteem, as well as increasing their knowledge about HIV and AIDS. ‘Equipped to Serve’ training in the Western Cape

On 22-25th of July, Facilitators in the Western Cape participated in the 'Equipped to Serve' (ETS) Counselling training. The objectives of this training were: to equip Facilitators as non-professional counsellors to be able to deal with someone in crisis, to provide them with the skills needed to help someone facing a difficulty or challenge to equip Facilitators to come alongside Peer Educators to help them find solutions to their problems/challenges.
